The new schedule offers northbound buses departing Malvern-Belmont Apartments at 7:15 a.m., 9:05 a.m., 11:05 a.m., and 1:05 p.m. Southbound buses will depart Ellsworth City Hall at 8:00 a.m., 9:55 a.m., 11:55 a.m., 1:55 p.m., and 3:15 p.m. Other Ellsworth stops include Walmart, Reny's, and the Maine Coast Mall.      "The new schedule offers passengers more choices and improved convenience," said Downeast executive direcgor Paul Murphy.
The expanded Ellsworth-Bar Harbor service includes stops at Jakson Laboratory in Bar Harbor and at the new Jackson Lab facility in Ellsworth. The service is designed in part to help Lab employees who need to travel during the day between the two facilities.
Downeast Transportation also offers multiple commuter routes to Bar Harbor, five-day-a-week service between Ellsworth and Blue Hill, Monday and Friday service from Bar Harbor and Ellsworth to Bangor, and one-day-a-week midday shuttles in Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and Bucksport.
